If you see a group of wires fastened together permanently, that could be normal, just make sure they are taped up etc so you don't get shocked. Before you do, make sure all wires from the generator end are secure and not shorted to the frame or each other. Hope everything checks out ok! Now you are ready to crank it. Bleeding the fuel system is the step which will absolutely keep it from starting if improperly done. Refill everything including the fuel filter canisters and pump up the fuel system with the fuel prime pump to get the air out of the air bleed screws BEFORE you crank it over with the starter. Check drained water and inside the cap for oil from a blown head gasket. Loosen the belts and shake/spin all pulleys to check for bad bearings, loose pulleys etc. You might want to go ahead and change fuel, and oil filters or at least find the size and take that number to someplace like NAPA autoparts to get replacements before you throw the old ones away.ĭoes this have a radiator? Drain, flush and check hoses for cracking and belts for damage/ deterioration.
